Rohland , as part of the formerly independent municipality of Frönsberg in North Rhine-Westphalia, has been part of the city of Hemer since January 1st, 1975 .

Rohland is located in the Stephanopeler valley in the southeast of the city, between Heppingserbach in the south and Ispei in the north and northeast. The village is located on the eastern slope of the Lohberg (473 meters above sea level) and is surrounded by a closed forest area.
