Gilbert Wong is a US local politicians of the Democratic Party . He is mayor of the Californian city of Cupertino . Since 2007 he has been a member of the city council. In 2011 he was mayor of the Silicon Valley city. In Wong's year in office, negotiations with Steve Jobs about the settlement of Apple Campus 2 ( Mothership ) fell in June 2011. The company was founded there in 1976; the new company site should be completed in mid-2016.
