Gilera SMT 50

The Gilera SMT 50 is a moped from the Gilera brand .

It shares the frame and construction with the Derbi Senda and the Aprilia SX50 . The drive is a Derbi engine, which is installed in the Gilera, Derbi and Aprilia models in models from 2003 onwards. They also share other parts like the fairing. It has a 6-speed gearbox, has dethrottled 6.1 kW (approx. 8.5 PS) and achieves a design-related top speed of approx. 80 or 90 km / h. With a throttle that is installed at the factory for approval as a moped, it has 1.55 kW or 1.85 kW (depending on the year of construction) and drives around 60 km / h. The off-road version of the Gilera SMT 50 is the RCR 50 . They share the decor and the structure (damper, telescopic fork, etc.). The Gilera SMT 50 is the successor to the Gilera GSM 50.
