Giovanni Bellucci
Giovanni Bellucci (born August 31, 1965 in Rome ) is an Italian pianist .
bibliography
Giovanni Bellucci is considered to be one of the most important interpreters of piano music: Diapason honored his recording of the opera arias Giuseppe Verdi and Vincenzo Bellini , transcribed by Franz Liszt , by including them in the series of the top 10 of all recordings of Liszt's work. He shared this selection, made by the renowned critic Alain Lompech, with famous pianists such as Martha Argerich , Claudio Arrau , Gyorgy Cziffra and Krystian Zimerman .
The rating confirmed the unanimous ratings of the largest specialist magazines such as “Choc de l'année” from the Classica Répertoire, “Choc” from Le Monde de la Musique, “Editor's choice” from the British, the 5 stars from the Italian Musica, the 5 stars from the BBC Music Magazine, “Cd exceptionnel” des Répertoire, “ffff” from Tèlérama, or “Miglior Cd” from Suono etc.
There are not ten pianists of his kind in the world: he brings us back to the golden age of the piano. Le Monde celebrated Bellucci's victory at the World Piano Masters Competition in Monte Carlo (1996), the culmination of a long series of awards at major international competitions (“Queen Elisabeth” in Brussels, “Prague Spring”, “Casella” by the RAI) (Italian radio), “C.Kahn” in Paris, “Busoni” and “F.Liszt” award).
Accord-Universal has just released the complete works of Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsodies and the CD “Chopin Metamorphoses”, where Giovanni Bellucci has performed some pieces as world premieres such as Concerto No. 1 by Chopin / Tausig.
