Giovanni Ferrero
Giovanni Ferrero (born September 21, 1964 in Farigliano ) is an Italian entrepreneur and heir. After the death of his brother Pietro Ferrero junior in 2011, he took over the management of the Ferrero confectionery company . He was in 2019 with a fortune of 22.4 billion US dollars , the richest person in Italy.
career
He was born in 1964 to Maria Franca Fissolo and Michele Ferrero , owners of the multinational confectionery company Ferrero. In 1975 he went to Brussels to go to a European school . He then moved to the United States , where he studied Marketing at Lebanon Valley College . After completing his studies, he returned to Europe to work in the family business. In 1997 he became managing director of Ferrero together with his brother Pietro. After his death in 2011 he was given sole management. In 2017, he stepped down as managing director, but remained CEO to focus on corporate strategy.
Private
He is married to Paola Rossi. They have two sons.
Ferrero is the author of several books on marketing, business management, and the personal.
