Gisela, Martin and Frieda Legath

Gisela (née Gerecsèr; * 1908, † 1973), Martin (* around 1931) and Frieda Legath (* around 1932) from Deutsch Ehrensdorf in Burgenland were Austrian farmers and active in the resistance against National Socialism . In the spring of 1945 they hid and cared for two fugitive Hungarian Jews.

Gisela Legath and her children Martin and Frieda were honored by Yad Vashem as Righteous Among the Nations .

In 2012 in Vienna - Donaustadt (22nd district) the Gisela-Legath-Gasse was named after Gisela Legath.
