Giulio Alfieri (actor)
Giulio Alfieri (born November 28, 1879 in Naples ; † unknown) was an Italian actor , caricaturist and song singer.
Life
Alfieri was active as a caricaturist and interpreter of light songs, especially in his home region; as early as 1894, at the age of fifteen, he had gained his first stage experience when he appeared in small theaters in Naples. Two years later he was part of the program of the “Salon Margherita” there, where he played with Nicola Maldacea , and sometimes with Amelia Faraone in small musical scenes. Engagements as a solo performer or with Elena Brussa followed , until in 1899 he was the duo partner of Peppino Villani as a "victim" .
In the next few years he developed into a satirist in numerous stations and appearances, who could be seen alone or in a duet with Lydia Roussier at venues such as the "Odeon" in Rome. Until the mid-1930s he played on the stages all over Italy; In 1936 he played his first film role, which was followed by a number of mostly comical ones by 1946. The 1.55 m tall Alfieri also worked for the radio; less than a dubbing actor. After the Second World War his track is lost.
