Giulio Betti

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Giulio Betti (* 1933 in Italy ) is an Italian car illustrator who, together with his brother Bruno, who is ten years his junior, is one of the most famous car illustrators.

After the Second World War , at the age of twelve, Betti began painting and began working in a cartoon studio in Italy. However, he was not artistically trained. Then he worked as a label draftsman for a company. The two siblings have been making technology clear since the mid-1960s by integrating details such as engines, chassis components or seats into the body on their X-ray drawings. Giulio Betti created over 1000 of these free hand-drawn works of art, including many portraits of Ferrari and Opel models, but also illustrations of refrigerators, washing machines and the space shuttle . Betti needs about 20 days for each drawing.

Betti now has seven grandchildren.
