The Glacier Point ( English for glacier headland ) is a headland on the north coast of South Georgia in the South Atlantic . At the head of Possession Bay , it marks the eastern boundary of the entrance to Assistance Bay north of the Murray snowfield .
The descriptive name of the headland is first included on a map of the British Admiralty from 1931.
