Glacier Ridge is a mountain range between 600 and 2200 m high, 7 km long and 1.3 km wide with a north-south orientation on the Antarctic Ross Island . The ridge is completely glaciated and ends on the southern slope of Mount Erebus 3.4 km northwest of Tyree Head .
The New Zealand Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1999 after the icebreaker USS Glacier , which was involved in numerous scientific missions in Antarctica between 1955 and 1987.
