Gladys Rodríguez

Gladys Rodríguez (born June 4, 1943 in San Juan ) is a Puerto Rican actress.

Rodríguez learned tap dance, acting and ballet at the Children's Hour Academy in New York when he was eight . As a young adult, she continued her acting training with Edmundo Rivera Álvarez at the University of Puerto Rico's Acting Department. In the 1960s she worked for Puerto Rican television and was successful in the telenovela La mujer de aquello noche alongside Braulio Castillo . In the late 1960s she played with Saby Kamalich in Peru in the telenovela Simplemente María .

In the late 1970s she was cast in the television comedy Los García (with Tommy Muñiz ) and appeared in telenovelas such as Marta Lloréns , Rojo verano and Viernes social with actors such as Raúl Dávila , Sandro de América , Arnaldo André and Rogelio Guerra . In the late 1980s she worked alongside Camille Carrión and Marilyn Pupo on the television program Ahora . As a film actress, she had great success with the film Lo que pasó a Santiago , which was nominated for an Oscar for best foreign film. In 2004 she had a leading role in the production Mujeres de la Biblia . As a stage actress, Rodríguez has appeared in plays such as Un tranvía llamado deseo , Muerte en el Nilo , Palacios de cartón , Los soles truncos , La enemiga , El búho y la gatita , El mismo año a la misma hora , La zorra , Flor de presidio and Eréndira , Musicals like The King and I , Guerra menos guerra es igual a sexo and Sorpresa and in 1999 in René Marqués ' La carreta .
