The vitreous hemorrhage is bleeding in the vitreous of the eye . The bleeding can have several causes:
- A trauma , i.e. through external influence
- Vitreous detachment
- New vessel formation due to various causes, such as diabetic retinopathy or age-dependent macular degeneration
- during subarachnoid haemorrhage (called Terson syndrome )
