Smooth water resistance

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The term smooth water resistance describes all relevant resistance components that occur when a ship is traveling in a straight line without being disturbed . These include the wave resistance , the frictional resistance , the towing resistance and the wind resistance due to self-propelled wind .

Under real conditions, there are additional drag components in the sea.
