history

Glenfiddle was founded in the 1980s from students and teachers from the Ostsee-Gymnasium Timmendorfer Strand . The name "Glenfiddle" is based on the whiskey variety Glenfiddich and refers to the fact that singer and band leader Peter Simon also plays the violin, i.e. fiddle, among other things. In 1989 the first sound carrier I Wish I Was was recorded and published, at that time still as a music cassette . Further productions followed (see discography). In 2015 the ninth production Put an Egg On It! released on CD. In 2018 Peter Simon left the band.
