Gley Eyherabide

Gley Eyherabide (full name: Gley Eyherabide Perdomo ) (born May 9, 1934 in Melo , † June 19, 2015 ) was a Uruguayan writer and journalist.

Life

Gley Eyherabide has worked for various important newspapers and magazines since 1959 and was also an extensive book author. For his novel Gepetto y las palomas he received a mention in the Marcha competition , the novella Juego de pantallas reached the final of the Premio Barral . The novel En el zoo was awarded the Premio Foglia . The use of the satire and grotesque stylistic devices as well as a humorous element are ascribed to his stories as characteristic. El País was one of the stations of his journalistic career in 1959 . He then worked for El Día for the first time from 1959 to 1960 and in two stages from 1963 to 1964 and 1965 to 1967 for Hechos . From that year until 1971 he worked for La Mañana and from 1972 to 1974 for Marcha. In 1978 he worked for Noticias before he wrote for El Día for the second time from 1978 to 1981. Through Opinar from 1981 to 1982 and La Democracia (1981 to 1987), his professional path led to Zeta in 1989 . He worked there until 1990. From 1983 to 1995 the Avanazada del Pueblo was his employer. At the beginning of the 21st century he held the position of director of a Centro Comunal in Montevideo.
