The Globetrotter Group AG , headquartered in Bern is a Swiss travel company, whose core is the Globetrotter Travel Service, one on modular - and individual travel specialized travel agency . In addition to cheap flights to every destination, the offer also includes rental cars and campers, flight, train and bus passes, hotel arrangements and language trips .

history

The company was founded in Zurich in 1976 by the journalist and world traveler Walter Kamm. He traveled to dozens of countries around the world on his own in the 1960s and 1970s. His travel experience prompted him to found the Globetrotter Club in 1974 to pass on information and tips. His activities initially included personal advice, sending information bulletins to members, and selling tips brochures and Globetrotter travel guides.

In 1976, the services were expanded to include Globetrotter Travel Service. In 2011 Globetrotter was one of the winners of the SVC Business Prize Espace Mittelland.

In 2019, the tour operator globo-study was merged with Linguista Sprachaufentzüge.
