The Gloria Stadium is a football stadium in the Romanian city ​​of Bistrița . It has space for 7,800 spectators and is the home of the Gloria Bistrița association .

history

The Gloria Stadium in Bistrița, called Stadionul Municipal Gloria ( German : Städtisches Stadion Gloria) in the local language , was built in the late 1920s and opened in 1930, the eighth year of Gloria Bistrița's existence. Since then, the club based in Bistrița has played its home games here. Gloria's greatest achievement was winning the Romanian Cup in the 1994 season. The club's best placement in the national championship was third in the 2002/03 season.

The stadium in Bistrița was renovated in 2008 and the capacity was expanded to the 7,800 seats that are still valid today. In the course of the renovation, turf heating and lawn irrigation were installed and the electronic equipment improved. There is also a mini hotel and an artificial turf field in the stadium.
