The Glundner cheese is a Carinthian specialty and belongs to the variety of cooking cheese . In Carinthian it is also referred to as Glundner Kas [ glúntnə (r) ]. A similar cheese is the so-called Hårbe (also harber Kas ), which is not boiled but dried. It is traditionally eaten with bread and butter.

This type of cheese is also listed in the register of traditional foods .

preparation

Ripe curd cheese (quark) is grounded in a pan (from bair. Linden "roast") and with the addition of spices (salt, caraway seeds, pepper) to ground cheese.
