The intercontinental ballistic missile Gnom (Russian. Гном ) was a three-stage mobile ICBM with a solid rocket engine developed in the Soviet Union in the KBM . Development work stopped in 1965.

The Gnom rocket received an unusual propulsion system: the first stage was equipped with a solid fuel booster and a ramjet engine; the second and third stages used a solid rocket engine . The gnome already reached high speed in the starting phase. The booster and ramjet engine were developed for OKB-670 by Mikhail Bondaryuk . The planned range was 11,000 km, the takeoff weight was 29 tons. The missile was equipped with a thermal nuclear warhead and a battery of decoys . The launch and transport vehicle had a chain drive and was developed on the basis of the T-10 chassis. The Gnom rocket was never completed, although many individual elements were manufactured, including the ramjet engine, which has been successfully tested. The project was abandoned in late 1965.
