GoPubMed

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

GoPubMed was a knowledge-based search engine for biomedical texts. The Gene Ontology is used as a "table of contents" to structure the millions of articles in the MEDLINE database . The search engine allows you to find relevant search results faster.

The technology used in GoPubMed is generic and can in principle be used for any texts and any knowledge bases ( ontologies ). It was developed by a working group led by Michael Schroeder at the Technical University of Dresden and Transinsight , a spin-off from the TU.

GoPubMed won the “red dot: best of the best” award 2009 in the “communication design - graphical user interfaces and interactive tool” category.
