The Godorfer Burg , together with the neighboring Godorf a water castle at the western exit of the Wesselinger city part Berzdorf in the Rhein-Erft district in the southwest of North Rhine-Westphalia .

history

The Godorfer Hof was first mentioned in 1173 as owned by the Schwarzrheindorf monastery . The year 1871 is written on an inscription in a wing of the Godorf Castle, which was built next to it, but not directly connected to the courtyard. This is probably the year that today's castle building was built. It was extensively renovated between 2014 and 2015.

Today the buildings mainly house offices and apartments. The manor house of the courtyard is a listed building . The inn of the same name, built on Brühler Straße in front of Godorf Castle, was renovated in 2019 and the restaurant operated there was given up.
