The Gods Lake is a lake in the Canadian province of Manitoba .
It is 250 km northeast of Lake Winnipeg and 400 km southwest of Hudson Bay and has a length of 80 km in an east-west and a width of 45 km in a north-south direction with an area of 1,061 km² and is therefore about twice the size of Lake Constance . There are numerous islands in the lake, the largest of which, Elk Island , is around 20 km long and is itself home to smaller lakes. Two Indian communities, each with a small airfield, are located on the lake, Gods Lake Narrows in the southwest and Gods River in the northeast.
