The Goethe Certificate C2 is a DaF certificate. The so-called Central Upper Level Examination (ZOP) was integrated into the Goethe Certificate C2 on January 1, 2012. With the certificate of the Goethe-Institut different knowledge of the German standard language is proven. This language skills should allow the candidate to understand difficult texts and to express himself orally and in writing with ease.

The certificate is valued as evidence of a qualified command of the German language in professional life . The certificate of the passed examination exempts from the language entrance examination at German universities . The examination is also assigned the maximum level C2 according to GER ( OLD Level 5 language).

The exams of the Goethe-Institut serve as proof of language skills in German as a foreign language and German as a second language regardless of whether you have German citizenship. There is no age limit, but a minimum age of 16 years is recommended.
