Natja Brunckhorst (born September 26, 1966 in Berlin ) is a German actress , screenwriter and producer . She became known in 1981 in the role of Christiane F. in the film Christiane F. - Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo .

life and career

Natja Brunckhorst is the daughter of the blues musician Hans Brunckhorst (1940-2015). She was 13 years old when she was hired by director Uli Edel to play the leading role in the film Christiane F. - Wir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo (shooting from August to November 1980). Her acting was praised by critics and audiences alike.

This early success led to a media hype about her person after the premiere of the film on April 3, 1981, which caught the young actress at the time completely unprepared. As a teenager, Natja Brunckhorst then moved to Great Britain. She then lived in Paris for a year . In 1987 Natja Brunckhorst returned to Germany, where she studied acting at the drama school in Bochum until 1991 . At that time she played in other films such as Babylon - In Bed with the Devil or Tiger, Lion, Panther . In 1993/94 she took a break from work because she fell ill with cancer .

In 1998 Natja Brunckhorst began working as a screenwriter, initially for the television series Einsatz Hamburg Süd . Private life

Brunckhorst has a daughter who came from a relationship with actor Dominic Raacke that lasted from 1989 to 1993 .
