Golden oldies
Golden Oldies is the name of the annual Oldie - Festival in Central Hesse Wettenberg . The three-day event has taken place on the last full weekend in July in the Krofdorf-Gleiberg district since 1989 . The entire town of Krofdorf-Gleiberg is under the motto "Music, engines and fashion from four decades" and focuses on the 1950s to 1980s.
Over 50 live bands and around 1,000 vintage vehicles built up to 1989 are exhibited on nine open-air stages . In addition, the festival offers a supporting program for all age groups of 60,000–70,000 visitors with a pram parade and a petticoat competition. A large nostalgia market with over 100 exhibitors and a young and oldtimer sales market offer original goods from the time.
