Golden ball cross
The Golden Ball Cross is the highest honor given to Protestant youth in Germany and is awarded by the Association of Protestant Youth (aej).
The Protestant youth bears the cross on the globe as a symbol - the so-called ball cross . Since the establishment of the youth chamber of the Evangelical Youth in Germany in 1946 as a forerunner of today's aej, this symbol has been issued by the Evangelical Youth in Germany and by their members and their organizations.
The Golden Ball Cross is awarded by the board of directors of the aej in recognition of special merits in promoting Protestant child and youth work since 1984.
