Goliath Hansa Argentina was an Argentinian manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The Taubenfeld family founded the company in Villa Constitución and signed a license agreement with Borgward . The plant was completed on April 23, 1960. In that year the production of automobiles began under the brand name Hansa . On November 10, 1961, Die Zeit reported that the company had taken over vehicles, factory equipment and components from the Goliath works for DM 6,550,000 . Production ended in 1961 or 1962. A total of 1121 vehicles were built.

The only model corresponded to the Hansa 1100 . It was available as a two-door notchback sedan and a two-door station wagon . A four-cylinder four - stroke engine with a 74 mm bore , 64 mm stroke and 1094 cm³ displacement produced 41  hp in the basic version. The luxury version had 56 hp. With a wheelbase of 227 cm, the vehicles were 409 cm long, 163 cm wide and 145 cm high. The curb weight was given as 860 kg.

A total of 804 sedans in the basic version with the designation Sedán , 21 sedans in the luxury version Sedán Súper Lujo and 296 rural estate cars were built .

Another source gives the same figures, but names the models Sedán de Lujo , Cupé Superlujo and Combi de Lujo . There was also a coupé of the original Hansa 1100 .
