Gomaco Trolley Company
The Gomaco Trolley Company is a vehicle construction company based in Ida Grove , Iowa , USA . The company specializes in the manufacture of new trams according to historical plans. Customers are predominantly US tram operators and US tourist trams, as real historic trams are hardly available in the USA.
The Gomaco Trolley Company is a subsidiary of the construction machinery manufacturer Gomaco Corporation . Since 2000, Gomaco has also imported large numbers of historic trams from Melbourne and Milan ( ATM series 1500 ) and sells them to US customers after restoration. The tram cars from Milan are particularly interesting for the US market, as they are licensed US models from the 1920s.
Gomaco is also restoring historic US streetcar cars.
