Gomboussougou is both a commune ( French commune rurale ) and a department encompassing the same area in the West African state of Burkina Faso , in the Center-Sud region and in the Zoundwéogo province . The municipality has 46,401 inhabitants in 30 villages and five sectors of the main town.
