Gony Ridge is one of Tussock overgrown and interspersed with scattered pools ridge on Bird Iceland in the archipelago of South Georgia in the South Atlantic . It rises up to 70 m east of Jordan Cove .
British scientists named it in 1968 based on the name of Gony Point . This is named after the term Gony for the wandering albatross ( Diomedea exulans ), which is one of the breeding areas of Bird Island.
