González is a town in Uruguay .

geography

González is located in the territory of the Department of San José in its sector 7 in the Cuchilla San José . Closest settlements in the area are Mal Abrigo in the northwest and the far west of the department of capital San José de Mayo location Juan Soler in the southeast. The Arroyo Jesús María rises north of González , northwest of the Arroyo San Antonio , a left tributary of the Arroyo Pavón . In the south of the village lies the source of Las Tunas, which feeds the Arroyo San Antonio .

Infrastructure

Route 23 and the Montevideo - San José - Colonia railway line run through the town .

The population of González is 222 (as of 2011), 96 of them male and 126 female.
