The GoodPlanet Foundation is a non-governmental organization founded by Yann Arthus-Bertrand in 2005 that promotes ecology and sustainable development .

The GoodPlanet Foundation is mainly dedicated to the dissemination of educational documents and the organization of events to raise awareness of sustainable development (e.g. the GoodPlanet ecology film festival in Rio , the 6 milliards d'autres (6 billion others) exhibition , conferences, actions in Companies).

The foundation creates educational posters for educational institutions, based on z. B. the topics sustainable development, biodiversity and forests. She keeps a catalog of mass consumer goods that she considers ecologically questionable.

It partners with companies through their social commitment programs. In 2008, for example, with the French airline Air France and the consulting firm Alti . In 2013, GoodPlanet and groupe Casino organized a communication campaign called Choisir, c'est Agir (to vote means to act) to support environmentally conscious consumption.

It also finances or co-finances solidarity school projects (especially in Morocco) and nature conservation projects (in Indonesia).

In 2009 the Mayor of Bordeaux , Alain Juppé , was elected Vice President of the GoodPlanet Foundation.
