Google Pack was a free software package released by Google Inc. from December 2006 to 2011 . According to Google, the programs included were "software specially selected by Google" that was ready to start with a few clicks. In 2011, Google Pack was discontinued due to the falling number of downloads.
Included software
The Google Pack last contained eleven programs, five programs from the Google group, four programs from other manufacturers and two optional programs. With the online installation all programs can be selected or deselected individually.

The Google Pack contained five programs from the Google group:
- Google Earth , for displaying a virtual globe based on satellite and aerial images,
- Picasa , an image management software,
- the Google Toolbar , a Google-specific web browser - Add-on for Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox and
- Google Desktop Search , a desktop search program.
- Google Chrome , a browser developed by Google.
- Google Talk , an instant messenger developed by Google .
Third-party Google Pack software
In addition, Google Pack contained four third-party programs:
- Adobe Reader , a program for viewing and annotating PDF files
- Mozilla Firefox , a popular web browser , with a pre-installed Google toolbar
- avast! Home Edition , a free antivirus program
- Spyware Doctor Anti- spyware program
Before Avast! Home Edition was included in the Google Pack, it contained Norton Security Scan , a virus-finding tool, but it referred to Norton's website for virus removal, where you can purchase paid software with this feature.
Optional software
Google Pack provides two additional programs for optional download:
- Real Player , a multimedia player for videos, music and live streams
- Skype , a VoIP program for making phone calls over the Internet (for a fee also into the normal telephone network)
StarOffice was also included at times .
