Rob Goorhuis

Rob Goorhuis (born March 25, 1948 in Amsterdam ) is a contemporary Dutch composer .

He graduated from the Conservatories of Utrecht , Arnhem and Tilburg and studied choir and orchestral direction, piano, organ and music theory in the main subjects. As a composer he initially trained himself on an autodidactic basis, but as a composer he is no longer a stranger to the wind orchestra scene in the Netherlands. He composed several works as compulsory pieces for the competitions of the national (amateur) music associations. He is also director of the Biltse Muziekschool music school in Bilthoven, the Netherlands .
