Gorbatower Red Cattle
The Gorbatower Red Cattle ( Russian Красная горбатовская , transcribed Krasnaja gorbatowskaja ) is a breed of cattle from Russia .
Breeding history
At the beginning of the 19th century, the local Priokski cattle (a variant of the large Russian cattle ) were crossed with Tyrolean gray cattle near the city of Gorbatow ( Nizhny Novgorod Oblast ) . Later the breed found distribution in the Oblasts of Vladimir and Ivanovo and in Chuvashia . Pure breeding is only carried out in Bogorodskij district in Gorky oblast and in Simenkij district in Vladimir region .

Relationship to other races
Genetic studies have shown that the Red Gorbatov cattle are related to the Latvian Brown Swiss . This in turn comes from, among other things, Danish red dairy cattle and angler cattle .
