The Gorbatower Red Cattle ( Russian Красная горбатовская , transcribed Krasnaja gorbatowskaja ) is a breed of cattle from Russia .

Breeding history

At the beginning of the 19th century, the local Priokski cattle (a variant of the large Russian cattle ) were crossed with Tyrolean gray cattle near the city ​​of Gorbatow ( Nizhny Novgorod Oblast ) . Later the breed found distribution in the Oblasts of Vladimir and Ivanovo and in Chuvashia . Pure breeding is only carried out in Bogorodskij district in Gorky oblast and in Simenkij district in Vladimir region .

Relationship to other races
