The Gosaulacke is an episodic small body of water of shallow depth in the municipality of Gosau . The Gosaulacke experiences only a very small permanent inflow from the Launigg karst spring and the small Brandsee. When the snow melts or after heavy rainfalls, the Gosaulacke can be filled by the overflowing Hinterer Gosausee , it then overflows into the Vorderen Gosausee . In contrast, the lake disappears in dry periods. The water quality fluctuates between excellent clear and cloudy water.

At the outlet of the Gosaulacke there is the Niedere Holzmeisteralm, a hunting lodge and a hunting lodge.
