Thank God Bilger

Gottlob Bilger (born December 26, 1876 in Weiler an der Zaber ; † July 5, 1971 there ) was a German farmer and politician ( CSVD ).

Life

Bilger was a farmer in Weiler an der Zaber. He had seven siblings; his father Gottlob Friedrich Bilger (1847–1929) was mayor in Weiler, his mother's name was Katharina Friedericke Schmid. In 1906 he married Lydia Bayha (1886-1967), with whom he had seven children.

From October 1, 1916 to April 1, 1919, Bilger was the deputy mayor or administrator in Weiler an der Zaber, then his brother Eugen Bilger (1882–1953) was mayor until 1945.

Bilger ran for the CSVD in the 1930 Reichstag election and again in the March 1933 Reichstag election, but was unsuccessful. In the state elections in 1932 he was elected to number 1 on the CSVD state list in the Württemberg state parliament and was a member of the petitions committee . In the reorganization of the Landtag in 1933, which was decided on the basis of the voting shares in the Reichstag election in 1933 ( conformity ), it narrowly missed re-entry into parliament in 3rd place on the CSVD state list.
