Regjeringen.no ( Nynorsk regjeringa.no , Sami ráđđehus.no , English government.no ) is the official website of the Norwegian government . Most of the documents issued by the ministries are made available to the public on the Internet on the information portal, which was initiated in 2007 . In addition, there press releases provided on the work of government.

Editorial profile

Regjeringen.no is not used for communication between the citizens and the government of Norway , but is used almost exclusively to publish press releases, news and government documents. Most of the larger documents are published both as PDF files and as individual HTML pages for each chapter , whereby the PDF version is identical to the paper version of the document. Regjeringen.no is not integrated into the administrative systems of the ministries, which is why the texts to be published must be edited in a public-friendly manner after the documents have been archived in the administrative system.

The site search allows the user to search by document type and filter the information by date or ministry. The search is not limited to a single ministry, but allows access to all documents published on Regjeringen.no.

history

Regjeringen.no was launched on February 12, 2007 as the official website of the Norwegian government, replacing the Offentlig dokumentasjon og informasjon i Norge (Odin) service, which started as a pilot project on August 1, 1995 and was established as a permanent service in 1998 . The website, whose articles were based on the Microsoft Word software , had the web address odin.dep.no. Norsk Regnesentral , a private, independent research foundation , carried out an external evaluation and consumer survey in 1997 in which, despite its weaknesses, they viewed the service as a valuable contribution that met the important needs of political institutions, the administration and the public. The Norwegian Ministry of Labor and Administration transferred the operational implementation to the authority Statens forvaltningstjeneste , predecessor of the Departementenes servicesenter , so that Odin could be further developed in parallel with government decisions and recommendations.
