Grønøy or Grønnøy is an island in Norway . It belongs to the municipality of Meløy in the province of Nordland . The island is located north of Åmøya Island and west of Engavågen and covers an area of 2.6 km² . The highest point is 104 moh. It is connected to the mainland and Åmøya island by a bridge.
From 1914 to 1957 the island was the landing stage for the Hurtigruten .
