Green area cadastre

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A green area cadastre manages the stock of (mostly) municipal green areas. This includes parks, green spaces and in some cases also playgrounds. It is usually linked to a municipal geographic information system.

In the green areas kataster be the following (in most cases) data detected

  • exact location of trees and / or shrubs
  • precise location of beds and lawns
  • Factual data such as B.
    • Plant species
    • Planting date
  • Maintenance measures

Since the municipalities are responsible for the traffic safety (which also includes, for example, the stability of street trees) of the public areas, green space cadastres are necessary tools to be able to fulfill this task.
