Degree Pollak

The degree Pollak , also known as degree Pollak-Egloffstein or Pollak unit referred to, named after the Austrian chemist Alfred Pollak is a unit in the brewing industry , with the ability of malt enzymes , is measured starch to sugars ( maltose ) to reduce ( diastatic Force ).

The unit is only rarely used; the Windisch-Kolbach degrees  (° WK) or the Lintner degree  (° L) are common instead .
