Graphic insert

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A graphic insert refers to a graphic that is displayed over the broadcast image while a TV broadcast is in progress. It overlays this and is therefore always visible in the foreground.

They are used to provide the viewer with useful additional information during the current program. Graphic inserts are almost indispensable, especially in the context of sports broadcasts. Graphic inserts are particularly used in the area of teleshopping to pass on information about the product and contact options to the viewer.

An alternative to the graphic insert is the text insert, which is limited to the insertion of a text.

The inserts are generated by a font generator.
