Graphic data processing
The graphic data processing (GDV) is a partial area of computer science . It comprises a technology with which images can be captured or generated, managed and changed in the desired manner with the help of computers and can be associated with other non-graphic data. This also includes the computer-aided integration and linking of these images with other communication media, such as audio, language and video, for the realization of complex multisensory dialogue techniques . Sub-areas include computer graphics and visualization , geometric modeling , image processing and parts of pattern recognition and scene analysis .
etymology
It is a grammatically incorrect concept formation. This does not mean the graphic processing of data, analogous to electronic data processing .
Rather, what is meant is the processing of graphic data , cf. also the introduction to this article: "... associated with other non-graphic data ...".
Nevertheless, in German-language literature, the above mentioned. Lemma enforced, the grammatically correct form is practically impossible to find.
