Granado Espada , also known in the English version as Sword of the New World: Granado Espada and temporarily as Sword 2 , is a Korean MMORPG from IMC Games. In Granado Espada the player can control up to three characters at the same time. The fantasy game also has rococo- style graphics that are very unusual for the genre .

description

At the beginning the player selects a character from a palette of five basic characters (Elementalist, Muskeeter, Fighter, Scout, Wizard). As the game progresses, the player can receive additional characters by completing quests or for a fee in the integrated cash shop. Although Granado Espada offers various quests, the gameplay mainly consists of killing monsters to gain experience.

Granado Espada differs from other MMORPGs through a Multiple Character Control (MCC) system. Similar to many console games, the player controls a group of up to three heroes. The characters can be exchanged in cities. Commands are given either to the whole group or to individual characters, default settings are possible.

Publication history

The commercial game runs worldwide in different payment models and versions. In December 2007, the beta phase ended in North America and Europe and the game went into regular operation. In July 2010 the game received an extensive expansion, some of which was marketed to the public as a new game. The title has been officially changed to Sword 2 . In December 2012, the contracts between the previous provider Gamersfirst and the manufacturer expired, and support was transferred to Hanbits subsidiary T3Fun. For Europe, the German company RNTS Media announced new servers for January 23, 2013. In November, however, Eurogamez announced the reopening of the European server. The closed beta started on December 10, 2013.
