As Grand Bacinet also Great Bascinet is a late medieval visor helmet denotes that in Italy and Western Europe in 1400 from the Bascinet (z. B. a Hundsgugel ) was created.

description

A two-piece collar piece made of iron plates replaced the armor previously worn on the chin and neck . The Grand Bacinet was a completely closed helmet: the face was protected by a slanted rounded or edge visor and a one-piece or two-piece chin strap that could be removed. The Grand Bascinet comes in different shapes and versions.
