The Grand Hotel Lublinianka is a hotel in Lublin , Poland .

history

The building was built between 1899 and 1900 in 17 months for the industrial and commercial treasury. The building was designed by the architect Gustaw Landau , who mainly worked in Warsaw and Łódź . He was a brother of a co-owner of the Lublin Commerce Treasury. In 1910 the building was given the architectural form it still has today. In the period between the First and Second World War there was a delicatessen shop and a café on the ground floor. During the Second World War , the building was converted into the German House due to its central location in the center of the city . In the 1950s, the building housed a budget hotel with a café and restaurant. After the hotel was taken over by the Von der Heyden Group, it was renovated and modernized according to a design by PRC Architekci . The building was subsequently reopened as a 4-star luxury hotel in May 2002.
