life and work

Janos Schaab, born in Hungary in 1960 , initially worked as a graphic designer / art director, and from 2002 turned to art. Schaab playfully combines production techniques , themes and aesthetics of Pop , Op and Street Art and continues them subtly. With his works - shown in many places in Germany and in Korea, Japan and the USA - he questions these three influential ways of implementing contemporary history and the constant change in our perception. At the same time, the choice of the succinct motifs and the title reflect his way of working: minimalist, clear, reduced to the essential popular features. His works are in national and international public and private collections; u. a. Museum am Dom, Würzburg ; Chanel Art Collection, New York, USA. He works in Frankfurt am Main .
