Granite tectonics

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In geology, granite tectonics are special construction methods and traces of movement in granite mountains.

The term came up around 1930 and goes back to the work of the Wroclaw professor Hans Cloos (1885–1951), who found analogies between the mountain ranges of Silesia and the African Erongo around 1920 . For years he researched the tectonics and the movements of the ascent of granitic deep rock , until he succeeded in precisely reconstructing such solidified intrusive bodies .
