Granville T. Hogan

Wilbert Granville Théodore "GT" Hogan, Jr. (* 16th January 1929 in Galveston , Texas ; † 7. August 2004 in San Antonio , Texas) was an American drummer of modern jazz .

From the mid-1950s onwards, GT Hogan played mainly with Randy Weston , at times with Lionel Hampton and in 1959 with Bud Powell in Paris . In 1961 he was a member of the International Jazz Quartet together with Bobby Jaspar , Attila Zoller and Eddie de Haas . Hogan took u. a. Records with Earl Bostick , Cal Massey , Elmo Hope , Walter Bishop , Kenny Dorham and Kenny Drew on.
