Product sample
A product sample is a test product for potential customers or existing customers . Companies that offer product samples usually want to convince of the quality of their products by either mailing or otherwise distributing free samples for testing. This is called sampling. For example, the product sample (skin creams, perfumes and CDs are possible) can also be glued to the associated magazine advertisement. Since product samples are in great demand with consumers, it is often easy to draw attention to a product or service.
background
Product samples are an important part of marketing . In the food sector, end customers are thus informed about the product range. With the sampling in the medical field, general practitioners receive free samples that they can pass on to patients as required.
Sizes of the sample
For medical or dermatological samples, the smallest technically producible packaging unit is always chosen, which is usually limited to a few grams or milliliters. In the other areas, the smallest sales packaging is usually distributed as a sample and often passed on to the customer with a personal cover letter or feedback sheet. Characteristic for the product samples is the small amount sold, which is aimed at regular acquisition through the company's sales department or wholesalers.
Use in online trading
If free samples are offered online, it is called a freebie . Often it is a link to download an e-book free of charge .
